So, I was curious and had a few dollars to spare so when I was at Wal-Mart I bought a box of the nail polish strips. I have seen advertisements for them over the past year in Cosmo, Self, etc, so I figured I would give it a shot. I bought Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips and figured I would give it a shot.
They supposedly will last up to 10 days, but with me I am sure it won’t make it that long even if it’s the best product known to man. Anyway, plus sides, it’s very easy to do, even with your left hand, whereas painting my right hand nails with my left hand always makes it look like a three year old did it. I mean my left hand always looks amazing, but my right….Let’s just say I am not ambidextrous. So, as I was saying, it only took me maybe 10 to fifteen minutes to apply to all ten of my digits and unlike wet polish it was completely dry from the word go. That was pretty nifty. I am the impatient type and sitting still while my nails dry it akin to listening to nails on a chalk board. So, very easy, no muss, no fuss, completely dry and waterproof the moment you are done with them. So you can move on with your day. Another bonus is they have all kinds of different colors and patterns so it’s not the boring one color coat that I have the skills to do. Now if it will last 10 days then the $7 price tag is not too bad.
Which it DOES!!! This is the new love of my life! I am not the type to be super gentle on my nails, I mean I garden, have a vicious puppy who thinks my fingers are delicious and just am rough on my hands. But these nails lasted! Ten days and possibly longer if I hadn’t decided to try nail stickers. Nail stickers are NOT nail polish strips. They SUCK. They lift and peel off, though the ones by Kiss are better, since they are a combo of polish and sticker. But by far my favorite is the Sally Hanson Salon Nail Effects Real Nail Polish Strips. I will now have pretty nails all the time!
